On September 28th, the Downtown Center Business Improvement District brings you the 18th Annual Public Safety Appreciation BBQ at the Bank of America Plaza in Los Angeles. At the event, you’ll get to experience plenty of food and fun, while also knowing the event is being produced to help the continued improvement of Downton Los Angeles’ historic business district.
One of the major reasons the commercial Downtown Los Angeles area has transformed into an appealing, booming business district has to do with the Downtown Center Business Improvement District (DCBID). This group is made up of over 1700 property owners in the area who have committed their focus to improving the Downtown Los Angeles area, encompassing Harbor Freeway to the west, Main and Hill streets to the east, Olympic Boulevard to the south, and First Street to the North. These boundaries feature about sixty-five blocks of commercial industry, and the DCBID has helped improve this area for over eighteen years. This year, the DCBID plans to donate part of the proceeds to the Los Angeles Firemens Relief Association, a charity formed to assist local firefighters injured on the job.
